BitSec allows you to safely and securely store files in the cloud, while ensuring that you can access it from any device you need.
You create and control the encryption key used to secure your content. This key is never written to disk, and only held in memory after you upload it back to the system, and only for as long as you need it.
With BitSec, your files are so secure that if you lose your encryption key, we cannot rescue your files for you - so keep that key file safe! You may want to store it in a safe place, and potentially on two different USB drives for added safety and security.
BitSec uses SSL encryption to transfer your files to our servers, and then encrypts it using your personal key file and AES 256 bit encryption before it is saved in our storage system. We cannot look at your files, and neither can anyone else.
BitSec was originally created out of a need to securely transfer server security certificates back and forth from cloud servers.
